Staff & Board of Directors

The Sikeston/Bootheel Area United Way is governed by a Board of Directors that meets once a quarter to ensure the organization is fulfilling its mission of advancing the common good by creating opportunities for a better life for all. The board consists of 15 members from the communities that the Sikeston/Bootheel Area serves including Scott, New Madrid, Mississippi, Stoddard, and Butler counties. Each volunteer board member is nominated for and elected to the position. Board members each serve three year terms starting out, which may be extended at the end of the three year term with approval by the board. To minimize operating expenses, the Sikeston/Bootheel Area United Way office is operated by one part-time staff member.
